Our independent sales representatives (Merchandisers) offer our products through in-home trunk shows, as well as online through personal online boutiques and other social selling strategies. With the support of leading venture capitalists and investors, chloe + isabel is positioned to deliver on our mission of building an innovative direct-sales company with the women of “Generation Net”.

The Position

As a sales development manager, you will be responsible to launch and build the Merchandiser team based in your territory. You will receive successful processes developed specifically to provide the framework needed to build a territory from scratch, while working independently to recruit, train, and develop your initial team. The ideal sales development manager candidate will bring the qualities of an entrepreneurial leader to grow the business rapidly. The position is best suited for candidates who understand what it means to work with commission-only sales representatives that work at varying levels of engagement; full time, part time, and sometimes. Leadership in this environment relies on an endless energy for encouraging, recognizing, and developing people. We are looking for leaders who have the desire to grow with the business and develop into the leader of a multi-million dollar territory.

Responsibilities

  • Build and grow the sales organization by recruiting an initial team, identifying and
  • developing leaders, and creating high levels of engagement in the sales opportunity.
  • Work closely with your team to prospect, recruit, and train new Merchandisers through
  • advertising online, trunk shows and social events, activity at job fairs and college campus events.
  • Identify and develop potential sales leaders by being actively connected to your team of
  • Merchandisers and proactively mentoring your top performers.
  • Provide training and best practices for successful trunk shows, online selling, and team
  • building techniques; both one-on-one and in a group setting.
  • Participate in trunk shows and online sales strategies in order to provide grounded and
  • innovative best practices and to maintain expertise in the field.
  • Effectively promote the Merchandiser opportunity, incentives, chloe + isabel products,
  • and company by sharing success stories and reporting recognition.
  • Act as the conduit between the company and the field, clearly and effectively
  • communicating product launches, business updates, and Merchandiser incentives to motivate your team.
  • Drive participation in sales team conference calls, events, and online training tools.
  • Create a success culture with your team that reflects the aspirations and industry-
  • defining standards of the company.
