How sweet the C + I life is… especially with cake!

September 19, 2012

For our Merchandisers, putting together a pop up trunk show means getting into party planning mode. Our girls are designing cute jewelry displays, making edible goodies and treats, and more. From DIY jewelry hangers to custom designed cupcakes–Merchandisers are coming up with creative party ideas to make sure everyone who attends has a good time.

We were wayyyyyy impressed when Merchandiser Cecilia Ramirez baked and decorated this gorgeous cake for guests at her first ever pop up trunk show. Though it pains us to ever have to separate our birdies, we definitely would not mind cutting into Cecilia’s cake and having a slice, or two.

All thanks go to Sugar Babies Cupcakery in Sherman Oaks for making Valerie’s cupcakes absolutely gorgeous and delicious too. We can’t wait to see what our other great ideas our Merchandisers and Hostesses come up with next! If you’ve got a great trunk show treat, email us a pic (and recipe if you DIY’d ‘em yourself) to [email protected].

Now if only we could get a few of these lovelies flown to NYC we would be in dessert heaven…

Cupcake Crazy: Pop-Up Shop Style

August 29, 2012

We love a good Pop-up shop, aka Trunk Show, and are always racking our creative minds for cute and fun ways to make an impression on guests. Afterall, it’s all about being the hostess with the mostess! Lately, we’ve been just a little obsessed with yummy treats for guests to devour. Check out our “Let’s Eat - Trunk Show Style” Pinterest board for some mouthwatering edible inspirations.

At Merchandiser Valerie Soule’s recent show, the first twenty guests had dibs on these little cupcake confections! I mean come on, not only are these cupcakes totally adorable but they are so on brand we just love ‘em.

Red, White + Jewelry DIY-time!

June 25, 2012

We can’t figure out if July 4th is one of our fave holidays because of the fab fashions (have you seen these stars and stripes Toms?!), the abundance of yummy and lovely treats (we’ll take 5 of these please) or the fact that it lends itself perfectly to our obsession with everything DIY! That’s right, do-it-yourself holidays are not to be overlooked. We’ve collected a few of our most beloved (and adorable) projects that are quick n’ easy and are sure to make your guests “oh and ah.” And when they ask “who made these?” you can proudly say “why, I did!” It’s time to get Pretty Crafty.

Paper Place Card Hats!

We found this cutie puhtootie patriotic place card craft on Countryliving.com. Head over to country living to see how 1 piece of paper can be folded up to create these July 4th nameplates that your friends will want to take home as a souvenir.

Paper Lanterns

These lanterns from Martha Stewart are a simple and chic way to color-up your balcony, porch, gazebo…even your living room! What’d great about this project if you can buy plain chinese lanterns and paint them any design your heart desires. Why not invite the girls over (Diamonds + DIY trunk show anyone?) and each of your can decorate one. Then, on the 4th they will all be hung together! Awwwww….

Sand-els!

This simple centerpiece will spruce up any BBQ picnic table! You don’t even need to buy votives, you can use mix + match glasses. We think natural sand brought back from a day at the beach would look great with red, white and blue alternating candles! Check out Better Home & Gardens for the details!

Clothes-pinwheels

Another great idea from the queen of crafts, Marth Stewart. For these twirlers all your need is paper, glue, ballpoint pins, scissors and a few clothespins and voila…you’ve got the cutest addition to your tablescape. A colorful and interactive sprucer-uper to any tablescape!

No go on…get your glue gun and start crafting!
