Style Showcase 101: Greys and Neutrals

January 6, 2012

If you were one of the lucky ones that had a C+I college ambassador visit your college campus this winter, you know what a fun, fashion and jewelry-filled event each “first look” party was! Check out our previous style showcases here and here — adorable, no?

Now, we present a few more of our favorite looks we spotted — outfits that were black, grey, and chic all over!

Style is something they can’t teach in school, but this girl has learned it all on her own. Kennedy, pictured above, keeps it cool and breezy — a must in often-sweltering Florida, where she attends USF. Kennedy stays on-trend by accessorizing her look with a little bit of fringe — definitely something Chloe would do. Since she likes some fringe around her neck, she should try our Two-Tone Fringe Necklace the next time she goes out!

Another University of Southern Florida girl, Kimberly looks New York City-chic in grey and black. Her leggings, sweater, and flats keep it simple, but she shows off her sophisticated side with a giant eye-catching gold watch and classic Ray-ban Wayfarer sunglasses. This Isabel should accessorize with just a touch more gold, don’t you think? Our Graduated Hoop Earrings in gold would make this outfit perf.

Don’t you just love this casual class-time look? Nicole, from Western Michigan University, is cute and quirky, staying warm as the seasons change by throwing on a classic denim jacket, grey scarf, and knee socks. What this adorable ‘Chloe’ blondie needs to stand out is a touch of shine — like our Cascading Cut Out Petal Earrings. Now she’ll be top of the class!

Style Showcase 101: Vintage Class Meets Modern Sass

January 5, 2012

We can’t get enough of the individual style our C+I College Ambassadors spotted while doing their “First Look” parties on campuses across the nation this winter. Some girls were more Chloe, others Isabel-esque, but above all (and most importantly), everyone looked cute!

Yesterday, we drooled over the bold colors and bright patterns we saw in Arizona, Florida, Texas, and Michigan. Now let’s take a look at some more classic, vintage-inspired coed styles.

Vintage shopping is kind of a love-it-or-hate-it pastime for our ladies, but Lauren here, from Albion College in Michigan, adores hunting for classic vintage neutrals, and keeping it simple but stylish in brown, black, and denim. We think our Pave Circle Pendant Necklace in silver will never go out of style, just like this ‘Isabel’! A necklace like that would earn this look an ‘A+’ grade for sure.

Dennise, above, from the University of South Florida keeps it simple and classic in her jeans and blue silk top, but shows she has a little funky ‘Chloe’ side with her gladiator sandles, ripped knees, and gold accents on her top, shoes, and wrist. We think our Oversized Smooth Metal Ring in gold is the perfect mix of funky and classy, just like Dennise! She needs this ring in her life — are we right or are we right?

Cute co-ed Carolyn loves getting her clothes at vintage stores and keeping her accessories simple but brightening up her look with a gorgeous ring. Something tells us this University of Texas flower child is dying for a little glamor in her studious life. Our vintage-inspired Deco Pearl Flower Ring could be just the thing to add some bling to her look!

Texas chick Mariel is a classic Isabel, looking very chic and put-together in flats, cuffed denim, a floral blouse and blazer while on campus at Texas State University in San Marcos. We could definitely picture wearing this outfit at school and afterwards to an interview or date. All Mariel needs is some sparkle in her life — our Retro Glam Oversized Button Earrings can definitely help her pass any style test with flying colors.

Style Showcase 101: Prints and Pops of Color

January 4, 2012

This winter, we sent C+I Ambassadors to college campuses across the country, spreading the C+I word from Michigan to Arizona and everywhere in between. Our ambassadors hosted “first look” parties on-campus, where they snapped these pictures of some of the gorgeous trunk show attendees. Take a look at the personal style of these co-eds, who are now at the top of their style class thanks to their new Chloe + Isabel accessories!

University of Tucson student Danielle, above, is a true bohemian ‘Chloe’ chick. We love her messy bun, mismatched nail polish and chunky, stone rings. We think we should amp it up even more and layer another long necklace on top of her look — like our Two-Tone Long Chain Necklace. Now she’s music-festival ready — after she gets her homework done, of course!

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Fashion-forward Albion College girl Justine is a ‘Chloe’ girl who isn’t afraid to stand out, matching a bright red-and-white pinstriped blazer with zipper accents to her leopard print flats. We’re a sucker for anything animal print. The contrasting print trend is definitely a fun one to try this season. Her outfit is refined-meets-funky, just like our Multi-Stone Cocktail Ring — a must-have!

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Music-lover Mary, from the University of Texas at Arlington, shows off her rock n’ roll side even when heading to class, accessorizing with studs, belts, and pins on her messenger bag. Don’t be fooled by her rockin’ style, Mary’s got a soft side — all she needs is our Pretty N Punk Two Finger Ring to match the skulls on her scarf, and she’s ready to rock on.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Who says you can’t wear white after Labor Day? Molly keeps the easy-breeziness of the summer months going as she transitions into fall with her white jeans, brown sandles, and a bright button-up to make the look pop. Since this University of Southern Florida girl clearly doesn’t shy away from color accents, we think she would love our Semi Precious Teardrop Chandelier Earrings in turquoise. Bellisima!
